Doorstep Drawings. 2020
A daily practice during lockdown, using drawing as a tool to realise different ways of seeing the same scene.
Drawing Grief. 2018
Selected works from a bigger series.
Dance Hall. 10 mins
A loose documentary that relates everyday human movement with dancing. The open narrative is told through recorded conversations with my parents neighbours and by swapping the audio of unrelated locations, there is suddenly a commonality formed, the shopping centre becomes a disco floor, where a group of friends are, unbeknown to them, dancing with each other.
Take Two Parts. 2017.
Printed broadsheet pages discuss the beneficial act of making marks through marks made, whilst illustrating uneven distribution of wealth in the UK. The audience are encouraged to take a sheet and actively readdress the uneven distribution of marks by making their own in the empty space.
Action Film. 2 mins
Representation of stated 'Action', framed next to the reality of action, people wandering around.
Daily Diary Drawings. 2014 - Ongoing
A daily practice to digest, reconfigure and reassemble everyday thoughts on paper.
Them Up There And You Stood 'Ere. 4.15 mins
Grans Sofa Cushion. 2016
Making Alzheimer’s disease visible, I asked my gran with the condition, to re-write a sentence. Taking a found embroidered cushion, the original decorative pattern has been unpicked and instead embroidered with my grans sentence or cognetic decline as decoration on the front.
Love Film. 3.20mins
Sequel to Action Film. Representation of love framed next to reality to discuss the ridiculousness of both.
Men In Iceland. 5 mins
Downright Sentimental. Loop. 6mins
Last Night This Morning. 2017
Tate christmas card competition winner. Image sold in Tate's gift shops.
Home Life. 1.30 mins
